👩 Collection Review | Fave Drugstore Brand 💄

Being a student who works part-time along side College, as much as I would love to, I really can’t afford luxurious make-up brands unless I save up for months. So, this is why drugstore make-up brands are my actual life saver because I can actually afford them. Personally, I think that drugstore brands can be just as good as any other high-end brand, especially the brand Collection. Collection are my fave drugstore brand as everything they use just seems to suit my skin and complexion really well. So, today I’m going to be sharing my fave Collection products & reviewing them!

Primed & Ready – Cool Rose Primer

So I’ve always used this primer and it’s really softening on my skin, leaving it feeling fresh and smooth. This primer has a built in reviving and anti-fatigue formula which is actually really visible and noticeable, and really effective. It gets rid of my eye bags, impurities and flaws, and leaves my skin looking really bright and illuminating my dull skin. It’s very cool and pink toned, which again gets rid of any yellowing of my face and creates a nice base for my make-up to be applied on; making it last all day and my make-up doesn’t move once!

Illuminating Touch Foundation
This foundation is really dewy and leaves my face looking vibrant, bright and of course, dewy. If you’re looking for a dewy, shiny foundation then this is definitely the one for you. It stands by its name extremely well as it’s very illuminating and brightens up my whole face, instantly making me look more awake and well… alive, lol. I always go for a lighter shade, but they have soooo many, and it’s also so long lasting and the foundation doesn’t slip off during the day what so ever. It has a very runny consistency. This foundation has such great coverage and it’s really buildable, a little goes a long way but it’s also not too heavy.

Lasting Perfection Lemon Concealer
Collection have so many different shades of concealer – from pink, to green, to skin tones. I always, always go for the yellow ‘lemon’ concealer because it’s so brightening and wakes up my skin. It reduces the visibility of the bags under my eyes by such a huge amount, and balances out the purple and darker tones of my skin. Also, this concealer has great coverage and really does get rid of any impurities and flaws such as blemishes and uneven skin tones; it reduces the appearance of them dramatically.

Primed & Ready – Invisible Setting Powder

So I honestly couldn’t live without setting powder, whether it be loose powder or pressed. This particular powder is actually pressed however becomes loose once used. It’s really light-weight and loose however is enough to provide full coverage and set my make-up just perfectly. It doesn’t make my foundation slip as I apply it, which some setting powder actually does, it sets it really nicely and leaves my face looking really soft, fresh and not cakey at all, which again some setting powders can do. Again, with this product, a little goes a long way. I also bake with this powder which leaves my make-up looking sharp and precise.

Gorgeous Glow Bronzing, Highlight & Contour Palette

Finally I love my contouring and highlighting, so this Gorgeous Glow palette is perfect for someone like me. It has a glittery, sparkly pigment leaving a glowing look and making my make-up radiate. There are five different shades
, some for highlight and some for contour. The highlight is really sleek and vibrant, leaving my face looking bright and defined. The contour colours are really soft and subtle so you are able to build it up, and it really does define my cheekbones and leaves such a professional looking result at the end!

I hope you enjoyed my little Collection ‘haul’/review and that they have helped you or even just given you something to read about! Be sure to let me know what your fave drugstore brand is?..

It's been so long since I checked our drugstore makeup! Because I normally use the same makeup products every time, I haven't really explored what new items are available. I'll have to check out the makeup you recommend!

So true, you can't finish a look without setting powder! And this very one stops your face from looking like a mess at the end of the day, like you say 😉
